Content Pages and Menus


Custom pages (eg About, Contact, and Privacy) can be also be developed within the WebPortal to suit your businesses custom content needs.  


These use a flexible WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor to produce pages that can then be accessed via the WebPortal's Content Menus or additional Content pages.


Content Pages and Content Menus are both managed within the WebPortals Administration area, via the Content Page Editor and Content Menus links.





Content Page Editing


To begin editing, click the "Content Page Editor link.


This will then list the current Content Pages available on the WebPortal.  Clicking "Edit" will begin editing the respective Content Page.


The WYSIWYG editor is then display for the Content Page.  Here you can use common formatting tools to enter and format your content.  Tables, Hyperlinks, and Image content can all be used within your Content Page.


The HTML tool (<>) allows the user to view and edit the page's HTML code directly.  This is also very useful for copying/transferring a Content Page from your Test-WebPortal to Live.

  

Once you are happy with the changes, click the Save button to apply the changes immediately.




Content Menus Editor


To begin editing, click the "Content Menus" Editor link.


You will then be shown a screen similar to below, where the current Content Menu will be listed.



New links to Content Pages and Menus can be created by clicking the "New" button.


The "Controller" dropdown box allows the user to select whether they would like a page content link (eg. "A Single Page") or a menu link (eg. "A Menu"). 

If Page is selected, then the user will need to select a previously created Content Page from the "Parameters" dropdown box.


Changes are applied when the user clicks the "Save" button (floppy disk icon).



To begin editing an existing Menu, click the "clipboard" icon.


The "Display Order" lists the order in which the Menus will be shown; from top-to-bottom.  Whereas "Menu Text" shows the text that will be shown in the Menu.


Additional Content Pages are added by clicking the "New" button, which are in-turn configured in the same manner as the Root Menu, and saved via the "Floppy Disk" icon.


Note that changes may not take place immediately, and that you may need to refresh your browser and/or delete your browsers cache.
