Images are automatically identified and allocated to designs in CM through the use of the "ImageScan" program.
This runs periodically (via a scheduled task) and searches a specified folder, for image filenames that correspond to CM design codes.
Once found, these image files are allocated to the respective Designs in CM.
Optionally, by appending “#1” or “#2” to the image filename (eg. 030401061614#1.jpg) you can associate images with their corresponding design image number in CM.
This is particularly useful in situations where you would like different design images used in Planning, and the WebPortal.
For Example, if the specified image folder contained the following filenames:
- 030401061614.jpg
- 030401061614#1.jpg
After the ImageScanner had been run, CM would then associate “030401061614.jpg”as Image#0 and “030401061614#1.jpg” as Image#1.
Most implementations of CardManager assign imagery as follows:
- Image#0 – “Plan” or flat image of card
- Image#1 – Inside view of Card
- Image#2 – Studio/Professional photo of card
