User Files
The WebPortal's image content is managed by the User Files section of the WebPortal (Options > Administration > User Files).
Access to this section requires "Administration" and/or "Content Administration" privileges.
Uploading Files
Images and Files are uploaded to the WebPortal via the "Drag and Drop" box shown above.
Simply select a file from your local computer (eg. on your desktop) and drag the file across into the "Drag and Drop" box in the browser window.
Once uploaded these image files can then be used in the NewStories, ContentPages, and the Home page (ie. Carousel and Tiles) sections of the WebPortal.
Carousel Images
The WebPortal will scale the carousel images to fit, but a carousel image size of 1200px x 500px is typical.
That said, we strongly recommended that all of your carousel images have the same dimensions, to ensure smooth transitions between them.
Carousel
The "CarouselList.carousel" file determines the images and sequence to be used for the WebPortal's Home page Carousel.
To create a new CarouselList file, click the "Create Carousel File" button and then click "yes" when prompted.
The file is then edited by clicking the CarouselList file's "pad and pencil" icon.
The "New" button adds additional Image positions to the Carousel. Whereas clicking the "trashcan" icon removes a Image position in the Carousel.
"Time Per Page" dictates the time (in milliseconds) between carousel image transitions.
To select an Image for a Image Position, simply click the dropdown arrow and select any previously uploaded image.
These Image Positions can also be organised into any desired order by dragging them.
The "Click URL" specifies the URL to redirect the user to, when the relating image is clicked. And the "Click Opens in New Window" checkbox determines whether on not the URL is opened in a separate browser window.
Changes are only applied once to the WebPortal once the "Save" button is clicked.
Tiles
The homepage images below the Carousel, are called Tiles, and are managed from in the text file “TileList.tile”.
To begin editing click the TileList's "pad and pencil" icon.
The "New" button adds additional Image positions to the Tiles. Whereas clicking the "trashcan" icon removes a Image position.
"Tiles Per Row" determines the number of Tile images to render, per row, on the Home page.
Similarly to the Carousel file editor, Images are added and organised, using the dropdown arrow and by dragging and dropping into sequence.
Finally Click "Save" to apply the changes to the WebPortal.
